At first I thought "Warrior for GW2?" But no, it's a totally new NCSoft Game: Aion.

While the graphics look great, I can't help but feel a cheesiness to it all...

Also, it looks very airy fairy. A lot of the art and screens a whole lot of pink, purple and light blue.

Some nice character designs, though.

Oh, and some of the art looks very much Vabbi inspired.

I'm not sure how the game will work...

Half the screenshots are in the air, half are on the ground.

Do you start on the ground and then "earn your wings" at a higher level? That would probably keep me from buying it right there.

And, yeah, a lot of it seems "borrowed" from Guild Wars... the Warrior with Hammer?

Last I heard it was/is in closed beta at Korea. They put up their European site a few months ago, check here http://eu.aiononline.com/en/home/

They have some fansites listed with some info about the game.

Well, DR is already out not sure what happen to Exteel. Played it in closed beta and it was fun. They said the open beta was going to be in January or February, but it seems it has been delayed and I haven't heard anything from them in the past few months :/

If I was Anet I'd be taking a good look at that game for any potential intellectual property thefts... cause the more I look at it, the more bits and pieces resemble Guild Wars.

Guild Wars resembles alot of Korean MMOs and since Aion is being made by a Korean company obviously it will have similarities to other MMOs along with Guild Wars.

Exteel was fun during beta then after a few weeks people stopped playing and it died or something. Dungeon Runners is a joke. To get any remotely good items (tons of items its all bout loot and grind) you have to pay in order to be able to use/obtain them. It's like a ripoff of WoW with only three professions and really dull gameplay that makes you wonder why they even created it to begin with. Unless you want to waste your money (dunno why you would want to) just forget about this game. There's a pretty good reason why you and other people haven't heard of these titles. lol

Don't blame the copying, blame the fact that everyone uses the same old same old in terms of setting, plot, and theme. ZOMG Asia but with a different name? Zomg save teh worlds?! Zomg asian weapons and european armor mixed with a bit o anime? :O

Many games that strive to be good and original and different never take off, simply for the lack of a receptive audience.

Why risk money on a gamble when you can make money on a sure thing? Artistic integrity makes way for profit.

The only real gamble thats been around in the MMORPG world has been Guild Wars

I played Swords of the New World Beta. Its fun game i just hate the point-click system(you cant move around with keyboard). But what really made me stop playing is that they first said it would be a free game but now you have to pay to get over level 20.

I might look at Aion, but i've been waiting for ages, when is it going to be released?!
